In Forbes’ first ever list of it’s kind 85,000 women in 40 countries were surveyed about pay equity, parental leave as well as how companies handle marketing.
For example, Statista also asked if the marking promotes “gender equality or perpetuates negative stereotypes?”
Representation of women on company boards and at the executive level was also factored into the report but out of 300 companies, only 20 had female executives.
In the sweet number one spot is Hershey Co., which has been led by CEO Michele Buck since 2017, as stated on Forbes list.
Pennsylvania is doing pretty well for women with 42% of the Pennsylvania-based business’ boards having women, according to the Statista report.
“By 2025, (Hershey’s) aims to increase the percentage of women in its workforce to 50% and in leadership to 42%, up from the current 48% and 37%,” Hershey's Co. told Forbes.
The company achieved pay equity in the US 2020, according Hershey’s chief diversity officer, Alicia Petross, and she says Hershey Co. is working to close its pay gap globally, she told Forbes.
